Lights, camera, action at Ace Play

It’s lights, camera, action here at Ace Play. Early in the year we were approached by S4C’s popular Welsh television show, Prosiect Pum Mil, to help on its next project.
The TV show is renovating an old sailing club in Pwllheli, Wales, which is not at all fit for purpose, into a space for children with disabilities and learning difficulties. They hope to transform a play area into different zones, create a sensory room, a family room and an outside area too. Our team was asked to help with the rubber flooring and a round swing.
In March the two presenters of the popular television show, Trystan Ellis-Morris and Emma Walford, along with a camera crew, visited our workshop and offices in Wrexham. It was so exciting to welcome the film crew.
Andrew Ellis, our managing director, agreed to manufacture, supply and install our equipment for free to help with such an amazing cause. Trystan and Emma were overwhelmed to learn the donation from Ace Play is worth around £5,000 and as an added bonus, Andrew also donated artificial grass.
Filming took place in May when the Ace Play team installed the equipment in Pwllheli.
Andrew said about the day, “It is fabulous to be supporting the production team to convert this space into a multi-functional space for disadvantaged children. The day ran smoothly, and we were all happy to donate our time. We can’t wait to see the television show when it airs.”
Keep an eye out for when the show airs. For more information on the services Ace Play can provide, please contact us here. https://www.aceplay.co.uk/safety-surfaces/
